Wishy washy

The ultimate cat lick wishy washy. Poetry in motion.

What's yours is mine

I bought a basket today to store some of my fabrics.......at least I think that was why I bought it. Cumin had other ideas.

Introducing Galina

I started to make this little poppet before making an unexpected trip to the UK. As I came back to NZ with pneumonia, I have not had the energy to do anything except lift a needle. Her shawl is a Brussels lace handkerchief.

I'm back

It has been a difficult three weeks, and I'm very grateful to be home. My dear husband will be back on 5th March. I managed to take a few photos whilst I was away, so I'll post them over the next few days.

The view from the coffee shop "Flour Town" Holland Road, Hove

Fantastic architectural drawing of Palmeira Square, Hove. The coffee shop "Flour Town" is at pavement level in the building at the "back" of the picture.

Short update

We are in W. Sussex with my very ill and confused mother in law. She is currently in hospital and we are not sure when she will be discharged or where to. It is very distressing to see her in such a state. We are trying to de-clutter her house whilst she is in hospital, so that if she is able to return, it is to a much more pleasant environment where you can move freely. We are trying to clean as we go along too.
It is very emotionally draining to see my husband so upset apart from the obvious sadness of visiting a very frail old lady everyday.
We have been supported by a couple of wonderful friends who live about 40 minutes drive from the hospital. I hope to get to the NE to see my parents briefly next week.
