Whimsical Windows Delirious Doors 14

Cuba Street, Wellington.
I suspect this building will eventually have to be demolished, as post-Christchurch earthquakes, all public buildings are being checked for strengthening. It is unlikely this one will be reinforced.

I hope someone is cataloguing as many of these old endangered buildings as possible before they are demolished. Though that might be a sad, daunting task.

Oh, what a shame! That is an impressive old building, it reminds me of a lot of the architecture in Chicago.
Good thing you got a photo of it now, while you still can!

Oh, I hope not. It's a beautiful building.

The shame is that this is a beautiful building - built in a time where earthquake protection was not designed in by the architects. The shame will be in its destruction as it looks lovely now...

Such a shame - the building looks really interesting and worth preserving... As Toby says - it's great that you had a chance to take its photo, now the building will continue to exist in the virtual world even if it will be eventually demolished!

Happy Purim from sunny Tel Aviv :)
