Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors 26

Inside the church at Kerikeri, Northland, New Zealand. The European settlers came to NZ two hundred years ago, and this church was one of the first in New Zealand, but I think this was a later window, judging by the style.

The stained glass artisan has created a wonderful piece of art here - the various shaped individual panes and colors are great. Not perfect in any one detail, but taken as a whole, a glorious scene! A great capture!

What a wonderful display of colors! Stained glass is certainly a beautiful way to capture the light.

There are indeed a few things only light can do. It provided poetry to this window.
Please have a good new week.

I rather like this modern interpretation.
Wheat and grapes ... bread and wine.

Oh my, that's just beautiful! I love that pastel background, it makes this even more unique. Great find!

Beautiful window! I think you're right that it is a more modern art piece.
