Short update

We are in W. Sussex with my very ill and confused mother in law. She is currently in hospital and we are not sure when she will be discharged or where to. It is very distressing to see her in such a state. We are trying to de-clutter her house whilst she is in hospital, so that if she is able to return, it is to a much more pleasant environment where you can move freely. We are trying to clean as we go along too.
It is very emotionally draining to see my husband so upset apart from the obvious sadness of visiting a very frail old lady everyday.
We have been supported by a couple of wonderful friends who live about 40 minutes drive from the hospital. I hope to get to the NE to see my parents briefly next week.

I'm so sorry you are now in this situation. Sadly, I can relate. So hard to watch someone you love get sick (and then sicker).

How sad and frustrating it must be. Not only that, but going from summer to winter in England must not be easy either!

I'm so sorry to hear that she isn't well - it must be so hard! Good that you're taking the opportunity to make things better for her. Here's sending you strength!
