Pohutukawa trees in bloom are one of the most evocative and beautiful sights that tells me another Kiwi Christmas is on its way. As a native of Pomgolia there is still something deeply disturbing about bright warm days at Christmas, but when I see reassuring blossoms of the Pohutukawa I know all well with the world in wonderful New Zealand.
