The Mystery of....."

BBC two parter "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". 3 minutes before the denouement, "Chirp, Chirp, Chirrrrrp!" Very pleased ginger cat stares at us. "Chirp Chirp Chirp" Charles Dickens is put on pause until the cicada is evicted through dining room window. There is now a heap of sulking ginger grumpiness under our bed looking for her playmate.

Money money money

I overheard a very cute conversation on the train a few days ago between three young teenage girls. It went something like this.
"So, he asked me to pay in cash, and I said, I don't have cash, I only have coins"
"But coins are cash!"
"No they're not! Notes are cash and EFTPos is cash. Coins are coins"
"Coins are a pain. Why would you use coins? EFTPos is best. That's real cash"

All I can do is feel old.

Please take a seat Madam

Who will dine, who will propose, who will sigh alone and gaze through the window? I will dream through your window, and build legends as I watch the candle illuminate the rose.
